With over 30 years of writing for a living, there is not a medium, product or brand Lisa has not touched. However, she still has hopes of breaking into sky writing and fortune cookie authoring.

Lisa’s trek in the advertising world began while studying English and Journalism at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. While a writer for The Daily Campus, she enjoyed writing articles, but what she really cottoned to was writing the short, pithy headlines. At a chance meeting with the famous Ad Woman Mary Wells Lawrence, Lisa’s wit charmed her way into an agency internship.

After moving to New York and working as a secretary and eating many a street pretzel for dinner, she studied at the School of Visual Arts. She landed her first job at Della, Femina, Travisano and Partners, then continued on to BBDO and Ogilvy & Mather. It was at Ogilvy where she met her mantra: “Give me the freedom of a tightly defined strategy,” and, ever since, has applied it to every brand she has worked on.

Lisa has worked with clients big and small – and has garnered many awards. Whether it was crafting a provocative paragraph for an everyday product, writing a funny TV spot for a national retailer, or naming a beauty product that brought in over seven figures in pre-sales, Lisa’s approach sharply distinguishes the brand in any crowded market place.

In her off-hours, she produced a documentary film, “His Name is Bob” that placed in nine festivals coast-to-coast, aired on The Documentary Channel in 2011 and can now be seen on Google Play. In addition to ad writing, she relishes reading, films, fiction and screenplay writing, as well as volunteering.
